We both gave up our rather unfulfilling careers and moved to France to pursue our interests in walking, gardening and cooking.
We love this region of France, it's totally unspoilt and off the tourist trail - not much English is spoken locally. For us, the mountains, the sunshine, and the wonderful food and wine make this a heaven on earth.
I gave up the dazzling excitement of accountancy, and have turned my hand to cooking and gardening, and when I get the time love walking in this beautiful region. My greatest achievement is my lovely daughter Isabelle.
I trained as a chef, with a particular passion for puddings. I've done my fair share of travelling and combined this with my interest in walking. I'm especially proud of finishing the GR20, Corsica's wonderful but scary coast to coast walk.
Meet your Guides
Philippe is a doctor of geology, qualified English speaking mountain and nordic ski guide.
He has over 30 years walking and cycling experience, has travelled extensively across Africa, South America and Europe, and has worked in the Vercors National Park since 2002.
Philippe is a specialist in the geology and flora and fauna of the area. He will be very pleased to show you the best of the Drome and the Vercors, including, according to your own interests, rare and beautiful orchids, superb observation points for vultures and other birds of prey, the forgotten ruins of ancient hamlets and villages, and fine views with beautiful panoramas.
We are very fortunate to have teamed up with Philippe, he loves the area, and you will find his depth and breadth of knowledge outstanding, enthusiasm, and passion, infectious.
Edith lives in a tiny hamlet just up the hill from us, and knows the region like the back of her hand.
A qualified walking and mountain biking guide, she works mainly in France, Spain and Italy, and is a talented linguist. Edith's warmth and mature leading style combined with a deep knowledge of flora and fauna has won her a loyal following, and we are delighted to be able to work with her.
