Self Guided holidays

Our self guided walking holidays offer complete flexibility - you can choose how much walking or sightseeing you want to do, all at your own pace. Plus, you can arrive and depart on any day (subject to availability), giving you the chance to take a short break or an extended holiday, or to take advantage of cheap flights or quieter mid-week airports.

Over the years, we have put together a wonderful selection of day walks, covering all levels of difficulty. Using our experience, you can select walks offering great mountain views, rare and beautiful wild flowers, and a vast range of birds and other wildlife. Our extensive collection of maps, reference books and walking notes are all at your disposal. What's more, we can provide details of vineyards and wineries to visit, plus where to find markets and other venues to sample or buy the best local produce. You won't need to do any research or waste any time, we've done all the work for you.

Our location is where the alps and the mediterranean meet - so you could be strolling through alpine meadows admiring the snow covered peaks one day, and touring an olive mill and sampling provencale cuisine the next - the choice and variety ensures there will never be a dull moment in this marvellous corner of France.

Our standard self guided walking holiday is based on seven night's accommodation, including meals and picnic lunches, staying at La Maison Rose in the heart of our region - a wonderful restored winemaker's house with large en suite bedrooms, swimming pool, English library and stunning views.

To get the most from your holiday, we recommend hiring a car if you are arriving by air or rail.

Included in your holiday:

- Seven nights accommodation with breakfast, 6 evening meals and 6 picnic lunches.
- Walking notes, use of maps, guides.

Not included in your holiday:

- Flights / rail / road transfers to / from your holiday
- Insurance
- A single supplement if you are travelling alone and require a bedroom to yourself.
